Mindfulness meditation

Mindfulness is that state in which you are aware of what is currently happening.  It is simply living today – leaving behind unpleasant things that have already happened without worrying about what the future might hold.

Mindfulness meditation, used as a therapeutic technique, is when our mind accepts all our bodily sensations in a calming way.

Yes, let me repeat that – in.a.calming.way…

So, as you leave behind any unpleasantries, you suppress your depression. When you stop worrying about tomorrow and beyond, you overcome your anxiety. The result is your feeling of relief – a current relaxed state. For those who currently have any chronic illness, this is one way of suppressing pain or even fear.

Yesterday is but today’s memory and tomorrow is today’s dream.
